FAQ
-
Pilates is a low-impact method of movement that emphasizes controlled, precise exercises to strengthen and stretch the body. It focuses on core engagement, mindful breathing, and deliberate movement to build body awareness and support overall mobility.
-
Pilates offers lasting benefits for both body and mind. It improves balance and coordination, helping reduce fall risk as we age. It builds strength and flexibility through low-impact, joint-friendly movement, keeping you active and independent. Pilates also supports mental well-being, the breath-focused, mindful practice can reduce stress, improve sleep, and sharpen clarity. And by targeting postural muscles, it promotes better alignment, easing the effects of sitting or repetitive movements.
-
The Reformer is a spring-based resistance apparatus that adds support or challenge to your Pilates workout. It’s kind of the heart of the studio—and once you try it, you’ll see why.
-
The Exo Chair is another piece of Pilates equipment that helps build strength, balance, and control. It's small but mighty—great for targeted work and mixing things up.

Wear form-fitting clothes you can move in, like leggings and a tank or tee. Grip socks are required for safety (and style) - we’ve got some available at the studio if you forget.
-
Grip socks help prevent slipping and keep our equipment clean. Plus, they give you a bit of extra stability while you move.
*Save your instructor from being the sock sheriff. Please just wear them! If you forget, we’ve got a community basket of gently loved socks, but if it’s empty, you’ll need to purchase a pair.
-
The best way to do this is by downloading the Pilates House Studio app. Once you've created an account, you can view the schedule, book group classes, and purchase class packs or memberships.
-
We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to set up and get settled. If you’re running late, please try to arrive within the first 10 minutes of class. After that, the instructor may ask you to reschedule to ensure the class runs smoothly and safely.
-
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. Spots are added automatically in waitlist order up to 12 hours before class. You’ll be notified by text or email if you’re added. Make sure your notifications are enabled, and if you can’t attend, remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid fees. The waitlist closes 12 hours before class, and if you aren’t moved into class, your credit is returned automatically within 5 minutes after the class ends.
-
We have a 12-hour rolling cancellation window. Cancellations made 12 hours or more before class are not charged. Cancellations less than 12 hours before class are considered late and incur the late cancel fee. (On daylight savings days, the window may shift slightly with the clock change.)
