FAQ
-
Pilates is a low-impact form of movement designed to strengthen, stretch, and balance the body through controlled, intentional exercises. Rooted in principles like breath, concentration, control, precision, flow, and core connection, it builds strength from the inside out—improving posture, deepening body awareness, and supporting long-term mobility.

The Reformer is a spring-based resistance apparatus that adds support or challenge to your Pilates workout. It’s kind of the heart of the studio—and once you try it, you’ll see why.
-
The Exo Chair is another piece of Pilates equipment that helps build strength, balance, and control. It's small but mighty—great for targeted work and mixing things up.

Wear form-fitting clothes you can move in, like leggings and a tank or tee. Grip socks are required for safety (and style) - we’ve got some available at the studio if you forget.
-
Grip socks help prevent slipping and keep our equipment clean. Plus, they give you a bit of extra stability while you move.
*Save your instructor from being the sock sheriff—please just wear them! If you forget, we’ve got a community basket of gently loved socks, but if it’s empty, you’ll need to purchase a pair.
-
We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early to set up and get settled. If you’re running late, please try to arrive within the first 10 minutes of class. After that, the instructor may ask you to reschedule to ensure the class runs smoothly and safely.
-
Because we believe smart movement shouldn’t be boxed into labels. Our instructors are trained to offer modifications and advancements in every class - so whether you’re brand new or years in, you’ll get a great workout that meets you where you are. [Plus, offering different levels can lead to scheduling conflicts—like a beginner only being able to attend at 7am but getting stuck in an advanced class.] One class format keeps it simple, inclusive, and accessible to all.
-
We recommend checking with your doctor first, but in general, yes! Please let your instructor know you're expecting so they can offer safe modifications throughout class.
